Jonathan Ruston from GBADs attended the GFRA Scientific Meeting 21st – 23rd October, 2025 held in Istanbul, Türkiye (a city that bridges continents, ideas and histories). 

The Global Foot and Mouth Disease Research Alliance (GFRA) is a coordinated global alliance of scientists producing evidence and innovation that enables the progressive control and eradication of FMD. GFRA’s mission is to establish and sustain global research partnerships to generate scientific knowledge and discover the tools to successfully prevent, control and eradicate FMD. The Biennial GFRA Scientific Meeting brings together the world’s leading scientists to share the latest research on the prevention, control, impact, and eradication of FMD. The Scientific Meeting offers scientists the opportunity to present research, learn from experts through moderated discussion, and grow their international network.
