GBADs attends the VIVACE Doctoral Network Training November 2025

GBADs is pleased to highlight the participation of our doctoral candidate, Sinda Srairi, in the first VIVACE Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network training event, recently held in Rabat, Morocco, from 12th to 18th November 2025.

VIVACE is an EU-funded programme bringing together researchers from multiple disciplines to strengthen global preparedness and response to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI).

Sinda has just begun her PhD, “The Economic Burden of HPAI and Policy Assessment of Poultry Vaccination” supervised by:
• Prof. Jonathan Rushton (GBADs, University of Edinburgh)
• Dr. Johanna Wong (University of Edinburgh)
• Prof. Henk Hogeveen (Wageningen University)
Her research will quantify the economic burden of HPAI and support the development of a decision tool to evaluate vaccination strategies at the national level.
