GBADs meeting with Cefas, APHA and CABI

On Thursday 15th December, The Liverpool GBADs team met with representatives from Cefas, APHA and CABI to discuss the UK government funded One Food project, which has recently initiated in partnership with the South African government. Cefas lead One Food and have linked with teams at UoL and CABI to outline an economic framework that spans the food system. It will learn from the experience of GBADs and the Global Burden of Crop Loss.

The meeting took place in Liverpool with morning sessions discussing livestock data in South Africa and showcasing progress towards development of an economic model for the one food project. The afternoon was used to plan for years 2 and 3 of the project.

The meeting was a success. Positive synergies to support current and future work were identified, and  a shared vision for the future was established, involving strengthened links between each organisation.
