GBADs present at the 2023 Western Agricultural Economics Association and Canadian Agricultural Economics Society

During 17th-20th July 2023, Prof. Tom Marsh and Dustin Pendell, who both work in the Wider Economic Impact (WEI) them in GBADs, attended in person the joint conference Western Agricultural Economics Association and Canadian Agricultural Economics Society in Canada.

With support from Golam Saroare Shakil, Jada Thompson and Amanda Countryman the following presentations were made by the team:

  • Organised Symposium Session: The Economics of Animal Health Burdens, chaired by Thomas L. Marsh, Washington State University
  • Effects of Animal Disease Mitigation in Ethiopia: A Computable General Equilibrium Analysis, presented by Amanda Countryman, Colorado State University 
  • Economic Burden of Animal Health: A Case Study of the U.S. Broiler Industry Jada Thompson, University of Arkansas
  • Economic Impact of Animal Health Improvement in Ethiopia: A Partial Equilibrium Model of Small Ruminants Golam Saroare Shakil, Washington State University
