World Bank Middle East and North Africa Workshop, Tunisia

During 3rd – 7th March 2024, the World Bank Middle East and North Africa (MENA) project organised individual meetings and a one-day workshop with stakeholders from Tunisia.  The main outcome was the Animal production system information obtained from participants. This was the start of a series of Workshops in the MENA area.

There was also individual meetings in Morocco a few weeks after with various stakeholders. The key stakeholders at organisation level were identified as the Ministries of Agriculture, Health and Interior Affairs, the Agronomic and Veterinary Institute Hassan II, the National Food Safety Office (ONSSA), FAO, WHO, and WOAH. The mian outcomes from the individual meetings were animal production system information obtained from participants, information on diseases considered to be of importance by participants and One Health Initiatives.
