Seminar: GBADs and DECIDE #2- “The burden of endemic respiratory disease in pigs: developing farm-level tools to monitor pig health and improve disease control”

On Wednesday 17th May 2023, GBADs and DECIDE  hosted the second official Seminar in a series between the two projects. After the success of the first official Seminar, we were hoping to continue presenting research that interests our audience. You can find the recording of both talks below.

Fernanda Dórea, Epidemiologist. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), National Veterinary Institute, Sweden (SVA) and DECIDE project, started the talk by introducing ‘Production data use to inform health management at various population levels’ which developed a discussion after the presentations. This then followed nicely into Marloes Boeters, PhD Student at Utrecht University who presented ‘The burden of endemic respiratory disease in pigs: developing farm-level tools to monitor pig health and improve disease control’ which supported the linkages between the two presentations.

With 50 attendees joining the presentations, it was great to continue the series with a interesting discussion on the topic at the end of the sessions.
